Yep - I hate to sound misanthropic (although as I said before, hatred of fat people may be the last acceptable prejudice) - but heart disease, chronic diabetes and early death are IN THE MAIL, mate.
I would say in his defence that at least he looks happy. Not that fat = happy, but I'd rather spend an evening in his company than that of any twiglet you might mention. Paris Hilton for starters.
